Our Legacy — The Vision of Late Shri Gyan Chand Narula

Our inspiration comes from the life and values of Late Shri Gyan Chand Narula, a compassionate and visionary individual who firmly believed that education is the greatest equalizer in society. He understood that true empowerment begins with knowledge and opportunity.

Throughout his life, he quietly supported students who had the determination to learn but lacked financial resources. He dedicated himself to helping deserving young minds move forward and achieve their dreams through education.

Today, his son and Trustee Shri Gulshan Narula proudly continues this noble mission. The Trust stands as a living tribute to his enduring belief that every child deserves:

Our Educational Sponsorship Program is designed to support deserving students who meet the following eligibility criteria.

What the Sponsorship Covers

The Trust provides financial assistance to support essential educational needs of deserving students, ensuring they can continue their education without financial barriers.

All sponsorship funds are directly paid to the educational institution to maintain full transparency and accountability.

ABOUT THE TRUST & OUR OBJECTIVES

Gyan Chand Jeevan Jyoti Trust is a non-profit organization based in Okhla, New Delhi, dedicated to the holistic development of underprivileged children. Guided by the principle of "Service to Humanity," our core objectives are:

  1. Educational Empowerment: To ensure that no brilliant mind is stifled by poverty. We provide tuition fees, books, and stationery to students from BPL and lower-income groups.
  2. Healthcare Support: To provide essential medical aid and health check-ups for children, ensuring their physical well-being is not a barrier to their growth.
  3. Sustainable Upliftment: To move beyond temporary relief and build a foundation where students can eventually become self-reliant, dignified citizens.
  4. Performance Monitoring: We believe in accountability; hence, we work closely with schools to track the academic and personal progress of every sponsored child.

  1. Legal Compliance: This sponsorship program is conducted in strict accordance with the laws of the Government of India governing non-profit organizations and educational grants.
  2. Direct-to-Institute Payment (No Cash Policy): In compliance with financial transparency laws, the Trust does not provide cash to students, parents, or guardians under any circumstances.
  3. Mandatory Institute Documentation: It is mandatory for the school/institute to provide official bank details and receipt.
  4. Right of Refusal: The Trust reserves the right to accept or reject applications without assigning any reason.
  5. Integrity of Information: Incorrect information will lead to termination of sponsorship.
  6. Verification: Applications are subject to strict background verification.
